Other Important information:

This plant should be taken with one of the following  herbs in herbal tea (because of the strong taste it has been known to make people noxious): Ginger, chamomile, cardamom seeds,coriander seeds, cinnamon or cassia bark,cloves, peppermint or anise or in  one of the herbal remedies recipes mentioned in How to Cure Constipation with Herbal Remedy Recipes . You should only take one cup of this tea a day and the cup should be taken though-out the day. Pregnant or nursing women should not use this herb. You should not take this tea for longer then a week.

Chemical Composition:
water, diluted myricyl alcohol extract, glucoside, Cathartic Acid, anthraquinone derivatives, rhein, aloe-emedin, kempferol, isormamnetin, anthraquinone glycosides (sennosides, aloe-emodin, rhein), beta-sitosterol
flavones, tartaric acid, mucin, essential oil, mucilage, tannin and resin.
May be good for the following sicknesses:
  • Laxative
  • Good for stomach and  intestinal parasites 
  • Disorders in the stomach and intestines 
There has not been  sufficient study  by the FDA of Licorice Root  (Glycyrrhiza glabra) to say that it is good for the use  of all the conditions mentioned above. Please read my legal disclaimer.
